Through this piece, I played around with using this concept in telling a story. Buttoned is a semi self-portrait exploring the idea of isolating oneself for fear of becoming to vulnerable to others. How a person will hide the parts of themself that they don't think will be accepted by others. It can be something as small as hiding one's hobbies or something as big as hiding one's religion.
